Mealtimes According to Education's Child Care Food Program
The Children's Place is a participating center of the Nebraska Department of Education's Child Care Food Program.
Breakfast is served from 6:30–8:30 a.m., a morning snack is served from 9:30–10:00 a.m., lunch is served from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., and an afternoon snack is served from 3:00–4:00 p.m. At lunchtime children learn to be served family style. Copies of the menu are posted weekly. All meals are closely monitored for variety, nutrition, and serving size. Children are encouraged to try all foods, but are not forced to eat. We do value any parent input and suggestions on making mealtimes at The Children's Place as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We also appreciate parents who encourage their child to try new foods.
If your child has a diagnosed food allergy, we must have a written note from the doctor as to why we cannot serve your child particular foods.
This facility is operated in accordance with U.S. Department of Agriculture policy which does not permit discrimination because of race, color, age, disability or national origin.
